I edited post, please don't post speed per the rules. Sucks I know but if you post then someone else post and then it gets out of hand very quickly. The SVT could easily do 143mph stock (per magazine testing) which is pretty quick by stock compact car standards.

Indeed, I have been there and a bit beyond. Only once and never again as I am now 45 years old and need to live a few more years. I am really impressed with the wrecked, totaled, and just plain dead Foci that the owners walked away from, makes me feel much better when I do speed.

If you really wanted to you could monitor your engine with oil tests. i used black stone labs periodically. I have over 135k and the engine stills feels strong. Plan on it lasting a good while.

At VIR I was doing 135 down the front straight and Turbo Tom must have been doing 155 in his turbo SVT. I got vids to prove it.

135 is Max for 5th gear....

I'm almost at 150,000.....I'm looking at 2 more timing belt job's and more than 300,000 i hope
