Well I've had my 2013 for less than a month. 2.0L 4Banger. But come the spring I hope to either buy an Old Rav4 or Explorer and make an off road beater. There are a lot of trails in this area and it sounds like fun to me. OR a Mustang as a summer ride. Might even go classic. Depends on how the old bank account sits come April/May. So I guess my next engine will be 8 Cylinders.

Just under a month ago I was paying 5.92 a gallon where I live... Right now it is cheap for some reason so I am paying 4.88 a gallon! Its a nice break, that's for sure.

my newest car has a 3.0 V6 its actually the largest engine size I've owned. unless I buy a mustang or a full size truck ill most likely stick with 4 cylinder or V6.

I just fill the V6 up for the first time from E since I've owned the car too.

I've been filling it with 87 octane but I just found out, that although running it on 87 won't hurt it. Its recommended to run it on 91 octane.

After speaking to others on the mazda forums. They recommend filling it with 91 at least once a month.

Fun, Fun, Fun= Here we come. Let the mods begin. For I've had two 5.0's before. Ask me 'bout fox bodies, v/8 Vega's, '55 straight axle drag car's & 6.0L powerstrokes = I know how to make these live & make power.

I used to race American Motors V-8s in the nines 1/4 mi. Also some 700+ inch fat block Chevy in Camaro pro stocker in the sevens. And many other different classic American V-8s of all types.

The hot rod inline four bikes I played with got me used to fours, they are easy to diagnose and work on and cheaper, I've gotten used to the fact that in cars they do not 'go' like the big ones did. Give me simpler nowadays, simpler lasts longer by virtue of less parts, less breakdown..................although I thoroughly embrace computer control, the best thing to ever happen to engine longevity.

I remember at one time thinking the world would never accept smaller engines in all cars, what a I was................I drove a 400 HP Javelin that ran in the twelves and freaked out when gas hit $0.39 a gallon.

I'll take the four.............my 'high performance' now consists of getting a car from birth to death with as long a period as I can in between and with utter 100% dead reliability with hardly any money spent on parts and zero on maintenance.

I don't really care about gas prices, I don't drive enough to care really..
With that said, hopefully my next vehicle will be a 98-02 Trans am ws6, I would settle for a 93-97 in really clean shape. I had one a couple years ago, lightly modded, and that thing would just scream, loved it. When I drove it nice, it would still pull down 22mpg average!
