VIR Virginia International Raceway January 2013

Every year my SVT Cobra club rents the track out for January. I have went the past 3 years it has been a blast. We have Vettes, Shelbys, Svt Focus, Sho's, Mustangs, Lightnings, BMW's, Mercedes, and Miatas to name a few, all show up and run the track. If you have ever wanted to go to a Road course this is the one. I plan to bring my Focus and Cobra. Here is the link to the event.http://www.svtcobraclub.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=19048

Sooooooo tempting... I was planning to head on down in May time frame after the x-mas shopping has been paid for.

I know NOTHING about the SVT club, but I've spent 4 days (total) driving a Ferrari and an M5 at VIR, I can vouch that it is a great track. Lots of run off room if you can't stay on the black stuff, and a couple of spots that will give you goosebumps. The uphill esses are the stuff dreams are made of - you go over the crest, the bottom drops out just enough that it's like flying. Coming off the back stretch and going into the roller coaster tests your mettle, and turn 10 tests your faith, and the oak tree turn - well, it's a singular spot on a road course in the US.

Even if you don't drive, it's worth going just to watch. It's an amazing facility.

This is one of my favority videos
