The best time to drive the snow is early a.m. when there isn't any tracks. One can bust the s#%t out of the snow drifts and have a ball doing it.Kind of like being a snott kid again.

I posted something on the snow topic in another thread already, but basically, if you manage to drive off the road and aren't in immediate danger or in BF Nowhere, I will not help you back on the road. Especially if the vehicle in the ditch has 4x4. As far as I'm concerned, if I put you back on the road, you're just gonna become a hazard to someone else.
Seattle drivers have been documented by insurance agencies and personal experience to be some of the worst drivers in the US. Everyone with an 87 Subaru Outback thinks they can drive in the snow... you know what I mean? |

Hey folks,
I'm always happy to hear great stories about your Focuses handling well in the challenging winter months. Just a reminder, if any of you are having concerns with your vehicles, a stop at your dealership is always a good first step. You can always contact me via PM as well. Additionally, you should check out Ford's tips for driving during the winter months: http://owner.ford.com/servlet/Conten...=1239636411265 Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! Crystal

I had a Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4 and it was fine. I can understand getting 1" of snow in the city is a nightmare. Going up to The Summit for snowboarding was great. Fly by all the people and semi's who had to pull over and chain up. I'm looking forward to the first snow here in Michigan. I have some all season tires on the Focus but that should be fine. I managed two Michigan winters in my SRT-4 with summer tires and only couldn't leave my parking spot once. |

Mine does well in the snow I always worried about the ground clearance of the car. That changed when I had to drive thru drifts of snow about 8-15 inchs it went right thru.
