Sounds to me like anyone in a <2014 vehicle can just ignore this article. Looks like it's 3.1.1 4eva.

Would sure be nice to have some of those Sync improvements in my 2013 Focus. I like what I read in the article about simplified commands.

The last paragraph states that Ford is updating current vehicles as well and that the underlying hardware is the same so that's prolly right.

All car manufacturers are doing In-vehicle Infotainment wrong. The folks hanging tablets off their dashboards are doing it wrong. The solution is so incredibly simple I can't believe that nobody's thought of it yet.

My solution should be ready to demo sometime in 2013 and then I'll show it off on YouTube as long as the patent goes through.

Lol - oritpro, we talked about this months ago...

I think your solution might be illegal for car manufacturers to do because drivers can use it all the time and it'd be a distraction. That said - I might consider assisting your development. haha

I understand you won't want to get too specific here but is your solution one that uses factory hardware or do you intend to replace some portion of the hardware?

Yeah I'm confused as to which cars will be affected by the update?
It says new MFT system but it only talks about SYNC features and SYNC can be separate from MFT.

The last paragraph makes me think that is all a MFT thing, but like the other person said, 3.1.1 4Life.
