So far so good for me. Liking it every time I drive it. Still haven't fixed the browse headings under USB... mine still don't cycle through all letters in the heading (i.e. A-H, etc.) mine will only cycle a letter or two and just switch between those two screens repeatedly. Beyond that, response is greatly improved... my system seems to be up and running, everything paired/connected/functioning in a fraction of the time it took before.

Agreed, the LED graphic thing is a small price to pay for an overall MUCH better experience, and as you stated I did have a decent 3.0.2 experience, this is just much more in line with what we should have had from the beginning.

Hell yes, I totally agree. If this system is going to time out, it should at least tell you why (and time out and isolate the reason it is timing out and continue). Bad track, too many grammar objects, unrecognizable characters in the tags, or whatever, but apparently it doesn't.



No, but why not try it? Give it a go!

I did not want to have to deal with loosing all my presets, indexing and other settings by doing a master reset if it did not work. Also, everything is working really well right now and did not want to chance making things worst.
I maybe totally off base with my thinking here........

Write down your presets, they're easy to reprogram, just take a few minutes to do it. Having a fresh index can't ever hurt. I've never heard of a master reset doing any harm to anyone's MFT system, only alleviate some problems for a time. It's worth doing if you're having any issues.

Also it was funny... at my dealership the guy next to me came up with I believe a Lincoln... in the service write-up area he was talking about having all kinds of problems with his system and wanting to reboot it when necessary, I explained he could either get down and pull the fuses or I just told him to download the delayedreboot app. Funny that we were both in with MFT/MLT issues.

Just had an interesting thing happen to me. The voice commands stopped working. The navigation "voice" is gone as well as are the "bongs". Anyone have a solution?

This happened to me on 3.0.2. DelayedReboot fixed it for me.

I did a reset and it fixed it ... but I lost all of my favorite locations in the Nav. Ugh

That is why it is better to do reboots than resets. Reboots don't wipe that kind of info out.

You might as well just accept it that MFT is not going to work the way that it should. I've been dealing with these nightmares since June of 2011 and everyday is a new experience, ahhh MFT.....a.k.a. MyFordTerrible!

Well, you could but fuse pulling is a pain in the a$$. There is a little app out there called the delayed reboot app (hence PratoN's delayed reboot reference above). You just throw it on a USB drive, plug it into the car, when you shut down the car it will cause an MFT reboot. If you want it, it is here:

I keep a copy on a drive permanently in my car for when I need it (which, if you have Sirius traffic/travel link is quite often). It will not wipe out your saved destinations, radio presets, wallpapers, etc.
