I tried this last night and for the life of me could not get my finger in there to break that connector loose. I will try again tonight.

If it doesn't work, try the steps I posted for the C-max.

Maybe try a blunt screwdriver to loosen glue bond. Pull lightly on the wire as you wiggle the connector back and forth to break bond. The connector is just tacked on.

Just wondering if anyone knows about this or not? Perhaps if we saw the plug that the two different visors have would be helpful.
You would have to check, but if you have power already in yours, then you'd just use that to tap into. Hopefully its plug and play though.

EDIT: NM; saw it was confirmed it is. Great news!

I got my visor from Tousley Ford and it took about 3 minutes to install it. I am very glad I did it. It was a direct swap for the visor I had in it.

Thanks for the help guys.

I Need Charcoal Black Homelink Sun Visor

For you guys that swapped out the visor in your 2013 Focus using the Homelink visor for the 2012 model, was your visor black? I've seen references to part number CM5Z5804105FA, but that visor is marble color. My 2013 Titanium hatchback has the charcoal black interior, and I can't locate a 2012 part number for the black Homelink visor. I called Royal Oaks parts. The person there had a part number DM5Z5804105DA black visor, but he couldn't tell if it had Homelink. Any thoughts?

I didn't think that any 2012s came with any other roof color than marble. I could be wrong. And the Homelink didn't come with the 2013s.

Doh. When I posted, I hadn't taken delivery of the car. I mistakenly thought that charcoal black interior meant that the entire interior was black. I got the car Saturday, and of course the headliner and visors are the marble color. I've ordered the 2012 visor with Homelink (part CM5Z5804105FA) and will install it when it comes in.

Followup on Homelink Visor

I received the visor with Homelink (part CM5Z5804105FA) and installed it in my 2013 Focus Titanium. It was plug and play. The only mildly challenging step was dislodging the connector, as it is glued to the headliner. Got it hooked up, and it powered up just fine. The only thing left to do is program the door openers.

On a side note, I've had the car for a week now, and I really love it. It is economical, quiet, and a lot of fun to drive. Plus, all the gadgets are neat. All in all, I think it's a really good value for a car, especially for someone who's going to put a lot of miles on it. Ford has really good cash back incentives going on through 1/2/2013. For the money, this is hard to beat.
