remote start

2012 ford hatchback titanium with the IA key. Would like to install remote start. Has anyone with the IA installed remote start, what type of remote did you use (ie brand, model) and what was the rough cost

I have the system featured in the posted link.works great. Too bad the rest of the car has so many other problems though.

I can help anyone out that needs it. I do this 40+hrs a week. Follow the install manual they provide @ www.idatalink.com, If you are uncomfortable following it, my best advice is to seek out someone to do it for you. Most any car audio shop as typically install these.

Now, If you are comfortable doing the wiring and have some questions feel free to ask, I have no problem helping out.

thanks for the update..I guess one of my questions is..will this effect my warranty. In fact would any aftermarket remote starter effect my warranty

However, if the added device is of poor quality, or is installed incorrectly, issues of warranty can be brought into play."

As SaToX states above, installing or using any aftermarket product will not necessarily void your warranty. However, if the product fails or causes a Ford part to fail, the cost of the repair and any related damage(s) are not covered by your warranty.
