Swapping Steering Wheel '12

I would like to swap the stock rubberized steering wheel from the SE with the leather wheel that comes on either the ST or the Titanium. Has anyone had any experience with this or could point me in the right direction? Thanks FF people

I have an SE and have a leather steering wheel.
the steering wheel is easy to order. The trick is swapping them taking the airbag out and getting it on the new one.
(I do not like to mess with airbags.)
They may want a VIN number to order the wheel. If so, ask someone with the leather what their VIN is.

I have a leather wrapped steering wheel on my Ti and have driven a loaner SE with the plastic steering wheel and leather is definitely the way to go!

But wouldn't it be easier/cheaper to buy a leather wrap for your existing wheel? There might be a craftsman somewhere in your area that could do a custom job for you at a reasonable price. Just a thought.

I bought a shift boot and seat belt covers from them several years ago for a 99 Miata I used to own. Their products are really good.

Do you have the MyFord grope/sink or whateve those things are called? It would be best to get as close to your current wheel as possible so you can be sure the buttons all wire up correctly. I have a '12 SE with the sport package so it has the leather wheel and shift knob - you're probably better off trying to find that specific wheel.
