2013 Focus Observations

[1948 panhead]

I just bought a new SE model. Had a Maxda 3i with 102000 miles on it so I decided to buy a new car. The Mazda was True red and Mazda eliminated that color. I like the Focus so far. It is a little too quiet and I need to get rid of that dead cat gap above the tires. I'm leaning towards the Flowmaster exhaust and maybe the Steeda rear bar. Also looked at the FSWERKS cold air system.

Confirmed with my friend that it is the engineering part number (for several models). Hopefully the service part number is the same.

Me too but mine will have the 252hp ST engine they neglected to put in my Ti.

Yeah, some how that's not going to fly, but it would be a nice idea.

Although you'd also need the 6 speed manual or a wet clutch dct or the frankly worse 6F35 out of the Escape or new Fusion as the dry dual clutch transmission isn't rated to handle that much additional torque at least according to Ford and or Getrag, now where the failure point has yet to be publicly determined

Guessing that name means Material Console Stowage Compartment?

I would assume any '13 SE with the 201A package (gives you the center console/cupholders like in the Titanium) has this little shelf.

My dealer actually didn't know about it. I found it in the glove compartment when I was putting my paperwork in there for the drive home. Have you checked your glove box?


In any case, I really like this. It's one of those things you wouldn't think would matter, but makes organization a lot nicer. I can now hide my garage remote in there, still access it super easily, and make the console area that much "cleaner" looking!

I contacted Steve from Tousley Ford and he thinks he was able to find the part. He won't know for a few days until he gets it in if it is the right one. I will keep you guys updated.

It looks like the console was designed for it... leading one to wonder, did they just forget to make the damn trays for the 2012s?

No they just left it out due to cost, then took something else away to add it in 13 as a so called suprise and delight feature more than likely.
