Headlight Films?

Has anyone had protective headlight films installed on their headlight assemblies? I just bought a new pair of headlights and was considering having it put on them. Is it worth the investment?

I installed Lamin-X on the ST 170s, and the new Hella Dynabeams on my SVT. The second attempt was more successful, but even the first attempt accomplished my main objective, protecting the plastic lens covers. Well worth the effort and expense.

I have Lamin-x on all my cars. The BEST thing you can do for your vehicle.

i have another brand just like laminex on mine. did the blue on my head and foglights. love them, just a little tricky to put on and get all the water out. and you will never be able to remove them. easier to just get new lights if you ever want it off.

Do the films get dirty and clouded just like the lenses or do they hold up for more than a few years? I'm asking this because I have one of those headlight restoration kits and if the film gets dirty and will not come off, then would I just be better off using the restoration kit on the lens without installing film?

i've had mine on for about 3 1/2 years with no issues. just wash it with the rest of the car and should be fine.

Yep mine never get cloudy at all. Mine I can remove and put back on if I use care. I also use the extra thick.
