I think 3.5.1 is a response to the catastrophic 3.2.2 for existing owners and designed to show off a more polished MFT to new customers. Many 2013s shipped with 3.0.2 (mine) and it fixed some lingering minor issues. But since it also included some extra features like improved BT and outside temperature, it's required on all new 2013s.

Is it the best update currently available from Ford? Yes. Is it perfect? No.

Since updating, I've seen the system change song tracks mid song without me touching the screen, steering wheel controls or phone... Its done it several times but I haven't been in the car long enough to fully troubleshoot it yet. Someone else posted this issue on another thread somewhere too...

Do a master reset. I had those exact issues and a reset seems to have fixed it for me.

I did a master reset the same day I got my car back from the dealer. I guess I can do another one... Thanks.

I spent about 7 hours in my car this weekend driving and haven't had problems since my master reset.

Are you talking music that is already on your phone and is just streaming BT, streaming apps such as Pandora, Slacker, Spotify, or both?

Let me clarify. I use Spotify to stream music via BT but the songs are stored on my phone for use in offline mode. Since the update to 3.5.1, every now and then I've noticed that a song will change tracks on its own (no input from me). Its never happened on 3.0.2 and its never happened while using Spotify anywhere else. I've done a master reset twice and the problem still exists but it's intermittent. I would have to sit in my car and listen to music for an extended period of time to see how often it really happens.

Yeah, I would have liked to have avoided one also but I needed the nav card too. After a little over a week with the update I would say take the time, even though it is a pain, and go get it done. It is worth it so far.
