damn, i want machs so badly. they are designed to use low/high beams at the same time? for mine, i have to "hack" the highbeams, and the lows stay on for DRLs. which i can't have.
but yeah, go with something similar for the fogs. i plan on asking nate (maroon sedan) to buy his 6000k fogs.

yeah man, it may even clear them up a lil bit as well. the "protectant" that comes with the kits doesnt really do anything.

and i love driving in a pitch black location having my highs and projectors on. its like daylight!! lol

Not sure if they do from the factory or not, but with a retrofit, you've got to add a jumper in the turn signal connector plug to make it work.

(BTW, that website was absolutely amazing to get this job done. Made everything very clear.)

this is what i tried with mine. yeah the high/low beams are on when brights are on, but it uses the lights for DRLs. i hate those. that's the only reason i haven't kept that mod.

Updates! Car is finally tuned again, after battling my SCT tuner I decided to just call them to see if they could help. 20 mins it was reformatted and working perfectly! Nice to have Tom's Tune back on the car, it makes such a difference.

Finally got around to redoing my interior painting, let's just say that the first time I tried it didn't go so well. I used satin paint instead of gloss and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, even though I've got some orange peel on the radio surround. Not sure if that's due to painting technique or the 40 degree conditions lol. Please excuse dirty car!

Zoomed out:

Less flash:

Also installed a CFM Adjustable Short Throw shifter a few weeks ago. It's fantastic! After playing around with the different combinations, I have it set to a medium-ish height, and put the linkage counterweight back on. Shifting is much more enjoyable now. Here's a shot of how low it will go:

Sadly, when I was removing the center console, this happened to the parking brake:

And some cool shots of my headlights because I still can't get over how awesome they are I took 1sloho's advice on the protectant and it seems to work great so far.

I like the interior man. Did you need that guage bezel to repaint?

And nice STS, it looks alot better than the super long factory shifter. How is your boot working with it? I had the SVT boot on mine and it pushed up on my reverse lockout. I guess you don't have one, so it doesn't matter lol.

Headlights are still looking great, and your overall shot looks awesome man. Nice work so far! Whoaa who's super awesome headlights are in the left side!?

I got one from LocoGringo a while back. Now I've got extra instrument and radio bezels to get rid of somehow.. But they've got the crappy paint job complete with fingerprints and gouges on them.

Yeah the boot doesn't impede shifting in any way, but it looks silly having so much extra material.

Thanks! And gee I dunno whose lights those are... I still like them!
(Oh, on Craigslist somewhere there's a set of them for sale with HID bulbs installed, for like 100 bucks I think)

It looks alot cleaner with the smaller shifter. My SVT boot was scrunched up like an accordian.

And i feel like i seen those somewhere, but i can't find them!

So I did this little mod a while ago, but haven't gotten around to posting it. Here goes.

I use my engine block heater in winter, and I got sick of opening and closing the hood. (First World Problems, I know). So I thought, hey, I've got a Euro grille, the badge swings open, and I can run the cord through there!

Started out kinda like this. (I removed the radiator cover thing a few months ago because I broke the little plastic fasteners and it pissed me off, I'm sure you could leave the cover on and still make this work somehow.)

Then I done did some Dremel'ing:

Eventually my extension cord fit into the hole:

And now I can do this!

The only issue is that the block cord is currently sitting in the space and is not secured in any way other than friction. This means that I have to open the hood to jimmy everything around to get the cords to plug together, but I can then shut the hood and forget about it. I have the outlet on a timer that starts about 3 hours before I go to work, so in the mornings I just pull the extension cord out, flip the badge over, and off I go! Eventually I might secure the block plug a bit more so that I don't even have to open the hood, but it works fine for now.

That's awesome! The cord fits right in the hood thing?
