These Recaros look like they are really basically the same seat base but with more aggressive seat bolsters on the seat back. But they are too expensive to retrofit at least new from ford, maybe wait awhile until there are more used examples in the field, but I'd still prefer to have had the seats from new.

I do infact have a narrow ass as does my wife. I'll get my friends to keep their eye's peeled for the ST Recaro's. It only takes about 6 months before you can find anything newish wrecked.

Why wait for the ST Recaros? Why not find some new(ish) Recaros or Sparcos? The ones in the ST are pretty sweet but I'll bet money they're nowhere near being the lightest or most comfortable out there...

I can only guess that if the engineers behind the ST-R were worth their paycheck the ST-R probably uses an oil cooler combined with a smaller alloy radiator for better cooling while saving weight. The list of things deleted from a purpose built racecar gets long and frequently purpose built racecars are seamwelded. |
