That's gonna be pretty expensive I bet.

My dad hit a raccoon with his 2012 only put a tiny crack in the bumper, and it was like 2k to get fixed...

That sucks though at least she was caught, so you may just have to drive around a rental for a week.

Freakin' Buffalo! Kidding! Same thing happens here an hour east of you. Still a PITA for you but way cool that she was busted. Get that security guard a 12-pack or something!

You could probably fix that yourself with a painted bumper cover. I replaced a rear bumper cover on my old Volvo C30. A few clips and screws...all of a half hour and no outlandish labor costs. Truly easy. Check out a Ford parts picture. See what you need. If the fender is ok and all you need is the cover, get a few estimates on what a replacement painted cover costs and labor, get the check, get the parts and do it yourself and pocket the rest. At least look into it. My 2 cents.

That would be all good and well if she didn't actually move the car. I finally went somewhere a little while ago. The alignment is off as is the headlight alignment. I'm going to have it gone over by a pro who's does tons of classic restoration. I'm going to have him give me an estimate before I have the insurance company start going forward with anything.

There's no way she was not aware of hitting your car. She should get a large fine for hit and run at minimum, you have a witness to the attempted escape. This sucks so bad when it happens. It's happened to my daughter twice over the last year in parking lots and my son's car was completely totaled by a drunk hit and run driver two months ago but she didn't get far before crashing into something else, getting arrested and going to jail. I hope the repair works out well and no money comes out of your pocket for the incident. That security guard ROCKS!

I agree completely once I realized how hard she actually hit it. It's really hard to tell on the surfaces with these new Foci. They hold up so well when hit. BTW the vehicle was a 2008 Highlander. I also could've called the police when I asked her for her insurance and registration cards and she didn't have them. But because she at least had her license and had already started processing with her insurance (with a claim number), and her promise to bring them to me (which she did last night) I let it go. So I now have a copy of her license, registration, and insurance and it's all up to date. I'm going to go take her for my own estimate today.

So I'm looking on fordparts.com because I've now discovered the headlight needs replaced entirely. Do I really see it correctly that the Ti headlights are cheaper than the non Ti?
