Downstream O2 Sensor Wiring

On my SVT it runs from the harness between the engine block and the axle. The problem is the axle has rubbed threw the wiring because of the two contacting one another. I can't find any wiring diagrams to show me if this is factory or not. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

A wiring diagram generally won't show you the physical wiring routing; it's just a schematic though there are some types of diagrams that show you where connectors, splices and switches are located in the chassis relative to certain "landmarks".

Do you need to know the wirig colours because the rubbing destroyed part of the harness? If not, securing the wiring with straps or clips in any position away fom the axle will suffice. I believe the axle interfering wih the O2 sensor and sensor wiring is not unknown in the SVT because of the location and shape of the catalyst.

I know what all the wires are, just find it odd how they are routed around in the engine bay. How hard do you think it would be to just install a whole new harness? I have some other issues with the current harness as well. Thanks for your advice.

Screw how the factory does it, you know the wires should not touch axle through its' travel, simply restrain harness in some way so it doesn't. I redo the factory setup all the time if I see a problem to come, the clips they use break all the time and hard to find exact replacement. Extra tiedowns, extra harness loops, whatever you got lying around. I don't hesitate to drill a hole to slip a plastic wiretie through if I think harness needs more space from moving parts.

That looks like an after market rear O2 MIL eliminator to me. Similar to:

Thats what I was thinking but I wasn't sure. I recently purchased the car and and trying to figure what has or has not been done to it. The funny thing is the car doesn't even have an aftermarket cat on it.

It doesn't have to be an after market cat to need a MIL eliminator; a "dead" stock catalyst is expensive to replace. The MIL eliminator will simply fool the PCM (and any prospective car buyers) into thinking the catalyst is functioning normally by preventing a DTC code from being stored.
