I'm talking sizewise which is rediculously small if you unfortunatly happen to be in an accident with even a regular Focus might have some bad results.

The size of the Fiesta is almost exactly the same as the MK1 and MK1.5 Focus, wich has proven to be a very safe car despite it's copact size.

Safety ratings are one thing when they are tested against a wall or something of the like vs real world crash with a F-150.

The Fiesta is one nice little car but I prefer the extra room of the Focus which was the deal breaker when we were looking at both back in spring.

The MK3 is quite a bit larger. Some like myself prefer the smaller Fiesta, and are waiting for the ST.

I wasn't refering strictly to crash ratings. Those of us who have been arround FF awhile have seen plenty of Foci wrecked with few serious injuries.

Go to a dealer, park your SVT next to a Fiesta hatchback and compare the size inside and out. Very close in size.

Agreed. I prefer the smaller Fiesta, and would prefer a smaller 3 door even more!
