ok so i let it idle for 6+ minutes, and i drove it in cruise control on the parkway at 50mph for about 8 miles. hopefully that does it, im having him replace my tires next week so il have him try the scan again. if that doesnt work, putting my old CAI in and getting the inspection again, then il put the new one back in. if it doesnt work... youll see this post again

OH and the CEL isnt out i checked that too it works, but its not on.

http://www.obdii.com/drivecycleford.html

and a more through version:

This should get your systems up and ready as quick as possible.

Edit: their was also a problem I heard from the EPA here in Utah that said some early model focus had problems with the PCM resting it self even with a good battery. Not sure how true this actually is.

Hey guys, still having the same problem, Catalyst and Evap. wont F-ing ready up! i replaced the battery with a fresh one to make sure faulty short circuiting wasnt resetting it over and over again. I then drove about 360 miles AFTER the install. brought it back and its STILL not ready... i today drove through a whole drive cycle, but still wont be able to check again for a couple of days. If its still not ready after a second drive cycle i plan on doing tomorow, what could be the issue thats causing these 2 monitors not to ready up?

PLZ HELP ME! already got 2 inspection tickets

I think whoever sold you the car (or some other previous owner) found a way to turn these monitors off to cover up problems with the car. Take it to a dealership and explaing what's going on, and I'd specifically ask them if the IDS (Fords proprietary diagnostic software) has the capability of turning monitors off. If those monitors were going to run it would have repeatedly happened already.
