Heat not working.

So ive had problems with my heater for about 2 years now.

the first issue was the where the plug connects into the blow motor , well , it melted. so i cut the plug off and the spliced on a new connector and got a new blower motor. problem fixed.

now , my heat doesnt work again , well it hasnt worked since this past winter , and its starting to get cold again.

so , i replaced the wiring connector , the blower motor , the switch , and the resistor. still no heat , any ideas guys ? i check all fuses under dash , does the heater have a relay ? thanks for the help.

Does it come on w/ AC on?

I would check the wiring coming off the back of the knob w/ a volt meter and see if you're getting anything from that. If you're not, I'd lean towards the switch, if you are getting voltage off of it, I'm not sure what there is left other than, as you mentioned, a relay or fuse...

Get the multimeter. Remove the connector from the blower, set the meter to measure dc voltage, turn blower switch to position 4, place black meter lead on chassis of car, use red meter lead to probe connector for power (+12vdc) Report back with results please. Thank you.

Harbor freight usually has them for less than $10.

results , one wire read .25 , the other would go to .10 then right down to 0.

so there is a little power im guessing , but i think i have a short somewhere.

There is no power at the connector (+12vdc) This is certainly not good. A ventilation control schematic will be necessary. We do not know how or if power to operate the blower is coming direct from speed changer switch or relay controlled or what not.
