Why would a Slave cylinder keep going bad?

What are the potential causes of a slave cylinder going bad 3 times in 2 months?

i bet all your slave cylinders are fine.. even the stock one. check your clutch fork :)

our cars don't have a clutch fork.

did the same thing fail on them each time?

could only imagine dropping the trans 3 times in 2 months.

if its the same pressure plate some of the fingers may be damaged causing uneven pressure on the throwout bearing and slave cylinder

Just an info, when I put brand new master cyl my slave went bad after awhile. GL

If 3 in a row are going bad then I would start looking at the other clutch parts such as the pressure plate and clutch. Also check out the Master Cylinder at the pedal for leaks or anything of that nature. Also are you sure your using the correct part for the SVT? The MTX-75 slave cylinder can also fit the getrag but the hole for the shaft is too big. They look identical to each other only difference the hole diameter. If you put one on a SVT it will leak fluid, I know cause...
