Exedy Lightened steel Flywheel Help
Hi Guys,
I am installing a ZF502 Lightened Flywheel on my Zetec Engined Focus. I feel that I need to somehow line up the Crank Position Sensor? However the Flywheel can be installed in multiple positions. Anyone have any advice? Thanks, Steve |

It looks like it can be installed at any bolt hole placement but it cannot , if you look close there is only 1 spot that you can get all the Fly Whl bolts in

Thanks Tom,
I did eventually realize that ... I put the old Flywheel on and as you say, it will only fit one way .... I still have a problem with the new one though ... it won't fit even after trying all the possible variations .... looks like I have a problem with the new Flywheel .. Also, How does the Crank Sensor work with the new Flywheel ... it is much further from it... and I could shim it, but there does not appear to be any 'Trigger' to activate it.. ![]() Thanks for any help!! |

The ZF502 comes up as the flywheel for a 2.3 duratec, which there should be no issues with Crank Position alignment as the CKP is on the crank pulley with those engines.
Which to me says either this isn't on the car in you profile or you have the wrong year and engine, which would be a zetec (which has a CKP in the position you're describing). I'm going to go with 'it's the wrong part for the application'. |
