And to add insult to injury .... they stand behind them and actually repair them if there's a problem .... and they don't try to tell their owners that they just don't understand how to drive their cars .... or that 'they all clunk and do that' .... what morons !!! They'll probably be out of business soon ....

My wife bought a 2011 Prius II in May 2011. She pays for it. I have my '12 FoFo hatch. I pay for it. They cost about the same (22-23K). I love my Ford and wouldn't buy a Prius...I'm Union and buy USA built Union produsts when I can. That's why I got a FoFo.
Her car is just right for her. We spent 100 bucks on gas on a trip to St. Louis and back (from Bristol, VA) in '11. My only second thoughts about MY car are whether or not I should have waited for the C-MAX. But I gotta give it to Toyota...you can't beat 51mpg.
My previous 2 cars ('92 GEO Prizm, '03 Corolla) were both USA Union built at NUMMI. Ran 'em to death. good cars. If they still built the Corolla in USA/Union I might have bought one. art

Understandable ... All Toyotas ... or Toyota clones .... I had an 05 Corolla that I put 165,000 miles on .... one (non-maintenance) repair ... a headlight bulb. Front brakes lasted 110,000 miles, rear brakes lasted 155,000 miles.

If you don't need a Prius because you don't drive a lot of miles .... I can understand not considering one ... but I don't understand bashing them just for the sake of bashing them. If they were BAD or unreliable cars ... I could see it ... but they're not.

It's really very simple to operate. The indicator on the dash tells you what gear you selected.
