2012 Focus SE Transmission Grinding

Stuck in traffic this morning. Cluster panel showing warning message :(transmission to hot press brake) then:(transmission hot wait 5minutes).
And outside this morning34F. So wondering how it will be during Summer.:-))))lol
Does any one had same message? By the time got to work it disappeared.
I seen somewhere in this forum same issue. How you fixed it?

Crystal I don't want to go to my dealer cause they did nothing, except hold my car for 2weeks and replaced Clutch. And problem still appears.
Can I change the dealer? Or I must go to the same one?

You can go to any Ford dealership you'd like; you're always welcome to go to a different dealership for a second opinion. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thx Crystal, I definitely will try to get it fixed at FETTE ford in my town. Just little busy for now.
I have a question: is it possible that ford received bad batch of clutches? Cause it seems to me they changing, problem solved for a bit and then comes back???
My guess, maybe will all should wait till they run out of stock, after they will get new improved ones..??
Question to the forum; can faulty clutch damage the other internal parts of transmission? I am talking about the ones are on the other side(speed gears, fors, actuator, bearings etc)??

While it's too bad it didn't solve the problem, I wouldn't call replacing the clutch as "nothing". Many of us would be delighted if our dealers would do the same "nothing" for us.

Your dealer may be better than you think, especially compared to the typical Ford dealers out there that would simply try to tell you the behavior is "normal" and please go away now.

Funny - customer service rep didn't waste any time contacting me today... after the BBB contacted them. heh...

Customer service rep says he has to stand by the dealer's word for now, but assured me that it's all still under warranty and if the grinding /driving gets worse to take it in for diagnostics again and that he'll foot the bill.

I'm not really sure what this all means for my BBB case yet, though...

Same issue. Took it in today and the tech said there is no fix from Ford. He said they will take a look and document it. Seems like some users got somewhere by PMing FordCustomerService. Will give that a shot.

Even after talking to Ford, the dealership called me saying nothing can be done about it as there is no fix from Ford.

I dont see how that is the case since Tarzanalog had the issue fixed in this post: http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...1&postcount=17

There is no way this issue is not causing any long-term damage. I'm afraid Ford will find a fix right around the time the warranty runs out.

Anyone else have any ideas?

2,000 miles now and no Trans issues. Guess it's broken in. I'm not too crazy about the shifter though. It needs lights on the console to show the shifter position.
