what is my 2002 focus svt worth?
Alright guys, need you knowledge on this one. I’m thinking about getting rid of my 2002 ford focus SVT and was wanting to know what you guys thought would be a good price on it. please be brutally and let me know your honest opinion.
2002 focus with 83219 miles, I’m the second owner have had it since 2005 so here are the details about four years a flood came and got water inside it came up to the top of the sits. Didn’t do any damage but interior. I took out all the carpet, seats, and center console. Clean it out, shampoo like 2 times reinstall. And it was good as new. Has a clean title on it, only had liability insures on it so didn’t turn it in. about 3000 miles ago the idle pulley broke off and trimming belt slip, bent all 16 valves had to rebuilt the head. It has new pulleys, timing belt, valves and head gasket. The clutch was replaced has about 12000 miles on it. Only mods has a borla cat back exhaust. Good driving car I use it to drive 30 miles five days a week back and forth to work. Problems: Hole in front bumper dad back into it exhaust tail pipe went thru it, but I do have a body kit (buddy club side and back and cervins front bumper) to go with the deal just haven put it on. Passenger side window doesn’t row up or down. I have trouble code p16003 and air bag code 12 been on there about a year can’t figure it out, I have replace fuses and checked all grounds. The paint is faded on the front bumper, has a few small scares and dings nothing major I’m missing the brackets that go to the back seats back rest but I do have the seats Tires are about 30% left on the tried I think that all is wrong with it, it’s not a bad car but needs some love, thanks for your guys help ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

id say like $4500-$5000 a sucker is born every minute
-$500 for the shifter -$700 for the tails -$50 per finger in the shot = X2 = -$100 -$100 for it being dirty as fk!!! $3600... j/k (if it was $5k) http://www.kbb.com/ford/focus/2002-f...=private-party |

I estimate around $4,000
I assume timing belt hasnt been done, and from the list you gave, it could be a very costly venture to repair all of that.

A flood car yikes, what ever you can get for it. That's probably why the code is popping up. Water does bad things to electrical stuff. I'm surprised it still runs after being flooded honestly since the ECU is by the passengers foot well. Make sure you tell the the next owner of everything.

Seems like a fair price estimate. But, you must have missed him saying the belt tensioner broke and bent the valves. All were replaced along with timing belt.

Id put it up for $5500 and work your way down to 5k or 4500 if you're not getting any bites. but im sure you wont have problems getting a minimum of 4500 if you CLEAN IT UP!!! take some good pictures too. make it look like you took immaculate care of it.
vacuum car wash and some tire cleaner can go a long way..

If the title is clean nobody will know it's a flood. Have it detailed professionally and list an ad with all the major issues and new parts on CL for $5000 with the understanding you'll have about $1000 to negotiate with.
