precut tint questions...rep for help
ok so a while back i bought some precut tint from ebay . they been sitting around for a while because of a few things , now first off im skeptical of the fitment on these even though they were claimed to be perfect laser cut matches to my windows . iv been burned by crappy shit from ebay before ( specifically , rain guards) . but iv looked them over and its obvious that they are for my car , so next is installing . so i didnt have a squeegee thing so i went and bought this kit
[IMG] [/IMG]as you can see theres a good sized one in there , but the kit only comes with that tiny freakin bottle and a really small amount of tint application solution . now i would like to know whats a good home-mix solution for applying these things , and any other practices that you may know to help my job go a little smoother . and if worst comes to worst . i will just have a mess to clean up and ill be out 30 bucks |

Water and Johnson & Johnson Baby shampoo mix. fill the bottle with water and a few drops on shampoo and mix. just enough so you can feel the shampoo in the water.
I doubt youll have to use this what you have above looks like it will be enough. Good Luck your a Brave man for attempting this yourself.

^yup, a few drops of Johnson's baby soap does the trick. I actually used that same exact kit when I did my windows. The squeegee is great. I ended up using 2 spray bottles worth to do the whole car.
1. I was pretty generous when spraying and 2. I had to redo a couple windows. Did my hatch 4 times and its still not great IMO. Good luck! Biggest tip I could give from my experience is TAKE YOUR TIME!!! Lol -sbc

Groupon, Living Social, Amazon Local deals, AAA deals, and what everyone else has said. If there is a city of any size near you, you should be able to get a deal. I got all the windows on my 2012 done for $120 including an upgrade on tint quality. Anyway, hope it works out for $30. Someone else had mentioned watching how to videos on YouTube. I would definitely do that if you haven't already.

Take your time that is my number 1 word of advice, I have tinted many cars and if you try to rush through it the job will come out crappy and then you will be bummed that you spent all of that time and it doesn't look good. 2nd tip is be generous with the solution. 3rd be careful with the tint as not to crease or get the tint stuck to itself. 4th use a blow dryer or heat gun to help with the drying and getting the solution out from the film.

I have been tinting windows for about 6 months and still take my time its a lot harder then you think i would just take it to a pro and deal with the loss of money.
