I bought a kid from Xenon Supply (it was originally in my '11 Sonata). I have the relay harness and 2 resistors. I wired it according to the diagram I've seen on here, but I still get a "bulb out" warning. Doesn't really bother me, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with XS and our Focus?

Are both resistors heating up?

They are. It actually blew out the first resistor on the passenger side, which I recently replaced. Xenonsupply is telling me to try the kit without the relay harness and resistors...

Wow, so they have no real advice essentially.

My first set of resistors screwed up as well. Sad thing was one was heating up but just not doing it's job so I still had a dipped beam fault. So that could be an issue unfortunately...

Otherwise it's standard troubleshooting... Check grounds, connections, etc.

The one thing I would suggest in particular is the connection between the resistor and the factory headlight harness. The connectors on mine were too long and did not allow for a proper connection (I have a video posted a page or so back that shows what I mean).

I just spent and hour and a half trying suggestions from Xenonsupply, but nothing worked. I may remove the actual plugs from the resistors where they plug into the stock light bulb harness, and run just straight connectors, since they don't seem to plug in very well. Other than that, I'm out of ideas. They suggested I try it without the relay harness, but the lights wouldn't stay on like they. They would flicker on and go right back out. So back to the drawing board.

I would say to anyone reading this far to just get the harness and resistors from OP's link. Everyone who ordered from them have had no problems. I bought my HID's from Ddmtuning though.

Where did people mount the ballast if they bought the kit from retrofitsource.com? I'm going to install mine soon and need ideas on where to mount

I mounted mine under the light. You can't miss it. I even stacked the brights ballast right on top of the lows ballast.

Seriously, I would try what I suggested. Mine were so off on being connected the resistors weren't even working. I have a suggestion on how to keep the connection plug-and-play in the video. It's towards the end.

You can go with the relay from them, but their resistors are more expensive than what you can find on ebay and are no better.

Just throwing out my experience. An ebay link to alternate resistors has been posted a few times in the thread.

Check out my video a page or two back.

Have the same ballasts and I show where I mounted mine.
