It could also be your monitor. I have two monitors by Samsung. Both have the same settings. One of them is a lot darker than the other one and it adds a yellow hue to everything. I'm just saying I know that they aren't the same. Even if the metering is I've 1/2 to 3/4 in the picture (per say a car), the were metered perfect with a grey card. So my whole picture is metered correctly, not just the car. I want detail in the sky and the car next to the car, not just the car.

I was just trying to help the guy out. I don't know how far he is in photography or what kind of camera he uses, or what his likes are. I know from when I started , I always wanted pointers. Because I don't know everything. I am just trying to give the guy some pointers

so I just registered on photography-on-the.net

trying to learn different techniques in PP using LR and PS. Some of the guys on there are pretty damn talented.

Came across this one and had to share it. pretty impressive that he was able to bring the picture back like that.

i did not photoshop anything in or out. its all exposure and color adjustments.

Hey Now ... those are my good buddy's here in Houston TX, the Mayday Team.

I use to hang with them a couple of years ago. Still run into them at different events here. Great guys. And yes, some great photographers.

That they do. I don't need to tell them. Many o Many of the car enthusiasts here do that.

And they have actually been approached by Import Tuner Magazine as well. And a few of their photos have been published by some of the major mags as well.

They are also very good writers for this as well.

I was talking to one of the head guys of the group and I think they also got the go to be at the F1 race in Austin as well.

Good for them.

another one from POTN, which brings me to a question. How legit are extension tubes? I think I have the basics of how they work. by extending the distance of the lens from the mirror, it allows the lens to focus closer than it's set minimum focusing distance? I did a quick google search, and found a bunch of "3 piece sets" that you can stack, or mix/match different lengths to get your desired shot. Do brands really make a difference on something like this? since all they're doing is acting as an extension, would the "ebay" ones get the job done? I've got almost an identical camera/lens setup to him, and would love to be able to take shots like these, without forking over the dough for an expensive macro lens.

All shot hand-held with a Canon T3i, 50mm f/1.8, speedlight, and 49mm of extension tubes. Hope you enjoy them!

Ah, here's an old old old photo of mine... My first attempt at HDR

Used a Sony Cybershot. This was probably 2006 ish.

And here's the first photo ever taken of my Mustang back in 2005
