Dunlop DZ 101's

That is what I bought my car with, in a 205/40-17 though, and I love them. Dry grip and cornering is amazing. I've pushed them very hard and they just won't let go.
On the pricey side vs your budget, but very good summer tire IMO.

I also have a set of these, BFG Comp II's
Also a good tire. My only complaint with the set I have is the load rating. I feel the sidewall is a little soft for my desires.
Best thing about the BFG's is they are made in the USA.

Some tires that I believe will meet your budget and driving criteria:

All Season tires (really three season tires as none are very good in the snow which you needn't worry about anyway)

General G Max AS03
Kumho Ecsta 4X
Sumitomo HTR A/S
Falken 912

Summer Tires (start losing performance under 45 degrees or so and do not wear as well as an all-season tire)

Yokohama S Drive
Sumitomo HTRZ iii
Conti Contact DW

Price and "all-season" performance wise I would say the General G-max AS-03 or the Kumho Ecsta 4X.

You could deffinately go with a summer only tire like the Conti DW or Yokohama S.drive, but there are a could of drawbacks. They will wear out a bit faster because of the tread compound, and when it does get colder (below the 40 degree range) if it rains you will really have to dial your driving style back becuase of the rubber compound. For the rest of the year though a summer only tire will get you the best wet and dry traction out there.
