I'm doing another dry-run in a few weeks to ensure the entire route is acceptable; and filming a homemade "movie-preview" with my brother. Also, against my better judgement; I may even involve CarLoveDC and get some exotics in on it.

The first Bruster's Ice Cream Social car-meet of 2013 is this Saturday @ 7pm! My Focus ain't ready so I'll be there in my rat-rodded beater Honda.

A number of us are, no doubt, hilt-deep in an FR13 build; and the first show isn't usually big enough... so bring whatever you got ready! I'll get a link up so you MID-ATLANTICS can get there!

That was my initial hunch... I'm also more likely to get pulled over, because I'm not gonna try to run.

And that whole idea goes against my not-a-Gumball-style-rally rational! The biggest fear is that it'll only be three or four of us... which isn't so bad, because 40 of any type of cars is gonna attract unneeded attention; but the focus groups don't really rally-together and meet up very well.

Some people are elitist (but that goes for EVERY car/enthusiast club) and exclusionary to "new" members, or just guys they haven't seen at older meet-ups before... I've been more active with these Focus Forums over the last four years than I ever have; people don't really warm up until they see someone they recognize.

ALL that being said; It's about having fun with your freedoms, your car, and making new friends that all share a highly specific interest (Little Ford Corner-Carvers)!

I'm not against this. 3-5 is a good group - the cars will be relatively evenly matched, and we won't piss off the local PD.

Car guys in big numbers going down the same road is, all too often, a breeding ground for stupidity.
