That is what I bought my car with, in a 205/40-17 though, and I love them. Dry grip and cornering is amazing. I've pushed them very hard and they just won't let go.
On the pricey side vs your budget, but very good summer tire IMO.

I also have a set of these, BFG Comp II's
Also a good tire. My only complaint with the set I have is the load rating. I feel the sidewall is a little soft for my desires.
Best thing about the BFG's is they are made in the USA.
