OK Sgt. Rock but not everyone has the same "situational awareness" that a total bad ass like you has.

I guess my point was that it doesn't (or shouldn't) take much of a "total badass" to know where the tail of a Focus is. These aren't large cars.

I just got back from the dealer, they used a third party kit to add the backup camera. This is the one they used to enable the backup camera -> http://www.navtv.com/product/207/myf...eShowProduct=1 and this seems to be the camera itself -> http://www.navtv.com/product/185/cam...eShowProduct=1 (I have to double check this, it might just look alike). Seems to work fine, haven't had some time to really test it yet.

EDIT: that's definitely the camera they used.

So what was the final cost? Seems like the parts they used were $750

Well I paid $700.0 but apparently according to the service personnel it only costs them $350.0 for the whole thing. Course, if you buy them yourself it's $750.0 + tax. I'm not sure it's worth it at that price, heck I would have preferred a refund, but I'm so tired of dealing with these guys I'd rather get it over and done with.

I am sure all of us can understand that! Glad it is working nice. Pics of the camera located on the car would be nice.

That looks nice. I would love to have that, but $750 seems too expensive, plus I'd have to pay for installation labor.

I'm considering this as well, but since I don't have MFT I was thinking of sourcing a camera/wiring from a 2012-earlier Escape, Taurus, etc with the display in the auto dimming rear view mirror. I'll likely not need the auto dimming feature since I'll be tinting the windows, but it'll be nice to have the display in the mirror. I'll let you know what I figure out when I get to that point in my "upgrades".
