The knuckles are NOT the same.

The SVT knuckles are bigger and heavier duty all around. The have different calipers and thus different types of mounting for calipers. They are not compartible with the smaller standard focus calipers at all. The caliper design is completely different.

The SVT front rotors are 12.0," not 11.8" as was said, I think.
The standard focus are ~10.xx" and way to small.

The 05+ ST knuckles are similar to the SVT but still not as reinforced. They have the newer, bracket-style mounting of the larger calipers.

All the '05 spindles have caliper mounting ears spaced farther out for the newly upgraded calipers & w/ that you can now bolt on svt calipers & rotors. Ford updated to bigger diameter tapered ball joints also, but used the smaller diameter struts. In '06+ Ford used a bigger diameter strut. So all the '05's spindles are one offs. The '05+ spindles are better than the earlier spindles having a bigger diameter ball joint.
