Want to buy a focus - advice needed
Hi all
I'm thinking of buying a solid, reliable and no nonsense running family estate or hatch and have always liked the look of the focus mk2, reg between 05 to 08. With the budget of 4k max, I will need to find the right car which is well mantained and not too many miles. Don't like the sound of the diesels so it will propably need to be a 1.6 petrol. Is there anything specifically I should look out for? engine or gearbox gremlins, bearings or diffs? electrical problems? clutch or flywheel issues? etc etc and not into changing cars often so would like it to last. Have not owned a ford since the early 90s when I had an old escort, less said the better. I did test drive a focus 05 a while ago, it felt smooth and refined but not too much grunt due to being an estate 1.6. Any advice would be appreciated. |

Not going to find a whole lot of info here...this is primarily a US board.
Hopefully someone will be able to answer something though... |
