Well the car is in the shop getting the timing belt changed as well as the water pump.

Meanwhile I have painted the valve cover. I think it turned out pretty well.


Duplicolor Ford Dark Blue.
-I could get you the duplicolor color code if you guys want it I just can't remember it off the top of my head.

Now I just need to change the color of my Typhoon intake. (Currently red)
I want to do a Metallic blue to match the valve cover. I am pretty sure that its powder coated. For a color change can I paint it or should I see about getting it re-powder coated.

I also got some focusfanatics stickers for the front and rear windshield.

So where do I begin. I had the timing belt changed a couple weeks ago. I was 50mi on the new timing belt and was driving along when I heard a loud clunk and all of my dash lights came on. Turns out one of the bolts on the tensioner was torqued down a little to much. This caused the bolt to shear and then all heck broke loose on my engine. Fortunately for me the mechanic is going to pay for all damages and fix my baby. It was a honest mistake and he has been really great about fixing it. I'm not sure of the extent of the damages but we are hoping the pistons are gonna be ok.
So unfortunately my car is down and out and once I get it back ill have to put it away for the winter. : (

It really sucks, I miss driving it.

too bad to hear that, and i hope the engine will be good. if i had an svt, i would want to garage it anyways! the winters here are usually nasty. plus, you can work on it and not have to worry about doing it fast since you have another winter car!

Damn! well, hopefully the damage will be covered by the shop who did the belt replacement since it was their mistake?

Yes, luckily for me it was the fault of the shop and they will be covering all of the repairs. They have been really great about it to. No hassle whatsoever.

Kinda sad to see her like this but she'll be ready for the spring/summer.

I traded my red K&N intake tube for a polished one. All the way from Texas from jmiller_1974. Great guy to do business with!

Man that scare's me...mine is in the shop right now getting new belts, tensioners, idlers, intake couplers in red and my spare valve cover i had powdercoated in red. Great you deal with such a good shop...i think if this happened to me mine would also cover this.

Which all parts came from Steve @ Tousley Ford.

My first belts/tensioners was at 86,000 & again now at 151,500.
