To be sure, when I got to my brother-in-law's house I checked my pressure, which was fine. Just got them put on the day before and they filled them all to specs when putting them on. Just apparently forgot the reset the sensors when they were done. I still can't find any printed evidence, from Ford or otherwise, that suggests they are self-training.

However at a stop the sensors are basically inert anyway as they only send about one pulse every 60 seconds while in motion above 30 kph. The documentation states that they may use a sensor that was not on the vehicle but was known to be good during the training exersize to verify that it was not the sensor that could not be trained but rather the TPMS module failing to recognize a sensor properly.

It would be easy enough for Ford to program that into our cars BCM through TPMS system, but, given the track record our MFT, Oil change interval and low windshield washer issues.... I'm afraid we would just have a bunch of Foci driving around with the horn always honking.... LOL.
