Yeah once you get under the surface of the paint it should come right off with the pressure washer

Be very cautious if you use an industrial strength power washer, you may end up removing more than just the dip

i'm going to have to get some sort of paint stripper. i used paint thinner and it didn't do anything. i used a bunch of wd-40, which ate my dip without paint over it, and it did nothing. it peels off, but in 1/4" pieces..

Dude don't use any paint stripper. If you get even the tiniest amount on your rims it will ruin the finish. That is nasty stuff, very corrosive and very good at what its made to do, but can cause a lot of damage if used improperly.

Really theres nothing that i can think of that will remove the dip but wont harm the wheel. Paint stripper is gonna eat right threw the dip then start to bubble the finish on the wheels, which will then start to flake. i can imagine you want that to happen.
i would have a go with the power washer, since you now have areas of exposed rim. Wish i could be of more help

as a matter of fact, i remember using stripper similar to that on a bike frame. and it bubbled just like that. and i don't want that on my wheels lol. i guess i'll be peeling it all off by hand. a buddy suggested paint thinner and a putty knife. i might try gas too, it's worth a shot.
