I vote 15" with mud flaps for the rally look. The savings on tires( there is a huge price drop below 16") compared to 18" will almost pay for new alloy wheels and tpms

I would definitely advise getting a separate set of wheels with winter tires. Save some abuse on the nice wheels and save money by not constantly switching. I have 2 sets for both my cars and I love swapping back and forth not having to deal with tire places that often is nice.

Thanks for the tips. I think I'm going to go with Momo Winter 2 16" with Blizzak WS70 tires. I saw a deal at discounttire with that package for $900, which I think is decent.

At what point in the season must you switch over to winter tires? I've heard that when temps drop below 40 degrees consistently, but others say not until you think it'll start snowing.

The main issue is what temperature the rubber compound of each tire is designed to do, so temp is a better indicator. The rubber compound in Summer tires begins to "chunk" off in the 40's, while the rubber in winters gets a little greasy in the 50's and above. Driving on any tire outside of it's designed temperature range will, at best, reduce the life of the tire, and at worst, reduce the life of it's owner.

Mine are going on as soon as I get home and change. With the sleet/snow that we had around Metro Detroit, its just time.

Alright so I think I've changed my mind again. I would like to go with the TPMS sensor and discounttiredirect has free shipping.

Will 215/60 R16 be a size that will fit?

I know tirerack suggests 215/55 R16 (I really don't even know what these numbers mean...) but I'm loooking to get Hankook iPike tires now as a buddy of mine referred them and said he has been really happy, plus there a bit cheaper than Blizzaks. Just want to make sure that size along with the Momo Winter Pro 16x6.5 5-108 40S are the right size, bolt pattern to fit my Focus.
