Trunk light in ZX3/Hathbacks

I got a 194 LED flank bulb to replace the stock bulb and to my surprise it makes more than enough light. I no extra wiring involved, wiring extra lighting is easy, but I like that it looks stock.

You can't even see my leds I wired in since they're hidden. And they put out light from both sides and is so much brighter than b4 :)

That glow looks sicks, and it will match my blue LED ambient light in the cabin.

This was my before and after when I put it in two years ago, I plugged it in and I found my groceries. They're sold in a pair, so I fabbed up a glovebox light using a spare trunk lens from the junkyard and put the second bulb to good use.

So I have a question the lense on my Svt is missing the one above the sub can I use any lense form a normal zx3 or do I have to try and find another Svt with one that's being parted out

They're the same in all Focus' from '00-11.

I replaced mine since I installed a custom sub woofer box. I connected an LED strip with some extra wire so I could move the light around the trunk if needed.

rambleon, How did you run the LED strips? Wire it into the existing light? And would you happen to have pictures?!

A number of us have run led strips or blocks. The leds have just 2 wires so you can just splice into the 2 wires of the hatch light. Then just attach the led block/strip to the underside of where the cargo cover sits so its out of sight. You can even then run a wire from there to the other side and have lights on both sides and tuck the wire out of view behind the plastic I interior panels.

This is exactly what I did. The wires are perfectly hidden out of sight and power from the hatch light are more than enough to power two sets of led strips. I'll see if i cant get a good picture of the lights working tomorrow.

I believe my strips have either 6 or 9 white leds (self adhesive too) and then I just used some 18 or 20 gauge speaker wire i had laying around. I ran it under the hard plastic trim of the lower inside hatch area. I like it because it has a clean factory look, ie cant see anything unless you are really looking.
