Great tips. I will be removing the inner shields and following your tips. I use clear Rust-oleum. I noted others recommended dealer mud guards and protecting "u" channel on bottom of front doors. Also intend to wash undercarriage weekly during winter. I have a new 2013 SE and my son has a new 2012 SE so I am just learning the tricks.
