keyless entry issues. need help asap!

Hey, so I purchased a new remote for my 2004 focus sedan since my old remote's buttons were falling apart. I went through all of the programming steps on the paper that came with the remote and got the new remote programmed. I am now getting my step brother who also owns a focus and a co-worker who owns a ranger walking up to me saying that my car locks and unlocks when they go to use their remote. I don't get it. I followed all of the steps to program the new remote and exited the program mode for the car but now other people can get into my car? I looked into getting an aftermarket alarm after hearing this but they can't disable the factory alarm, all they can do is install some bypass that will make the aftermarket alarm go off when someone unlocks it. If any ford remote can unlock it, I don't want my car constantly going off. If anyone has encountered this and has found a fix to it, please, let me know before someone get's smart and steals stuff out of my car! I'm completely dumb founded.
