i put clazzio leather seat covers on mine, with 1/2 inch of memory foam sewn in, and they are better. The foam makes you sit higher, and for me its better. I never thought they were bad, but now they are def better. Maybe a bit less holding from the sides seeing that there is also memory foam in the backrest. The seat seems wider now, that I'm sinking into less. Still enough side bolstering for me. They look great too.
If you look in the interior mods section at the top of the MK3 forum page you can find photos of them. |

First post here. I love studying the auto industry and the Focus is a car ive researched alot. Im 6 4 and just did 1300 miles in a rented SE and found the seats very uncomfortable for my lower back. Things improved alot when I lowered the seat, unfortunately only figured it out on the last 100 miles or so. I thought right away the seat should be as comfortable as a VW Golf but it wasn't. Every Golf ive rented since 99 has been ultra comfortable. ( Always do long trips in them in Germany.) It wasn't even comfortable like my 93 Escort wagon now is. I don't think I'd want to be stuck with the MFT so no Titanium for me. Maybe if I do get the car I'll try the SE with leather. Has to be a hatch though. The wagon stays, and will be used for gigs instead of gigs and all driving ( 20,000 yearly.) Perhaps another rental trip with the seat lowered is in order . Leg room was not at all an issue.
