Could the transponder be secured near the ignition rather than in the key so that any correctly cut key will work?

Also my key for the 07 has no obvious tabs or joints that contain the transponder. Any pics of you removing the transponder?

i will post pics on the transponder removal , as far as securing the transponder to the ignition , yes the locksmith said some people do to make it easier , although it kinda negates the security if someone happens to get the ignition to turn.

the transponder only needs to me withing a inch or two of the ignition.

I don't like the size of switchblade keys, too bulky in the pocket. But nice job on it. Looks factory.

would love to have one , but my key doesnt have any openings on it , and i dont think theres a transponder , will this make it easier for me or will it make it impossible
