Euro Rear Headrests
I went ahead and took a risk on a UK ebay auction for a pair of euro rear headrests. I didn't have the part numbers and just visually eyed it up from the auction pictures.
As you can see the posts for the EDM headrests are the same width as the USDM, but twice as long. ![]() The posts are also slightly curved which makes it a tight fit. I was worried that they wouldn't go all the way through. I guess it just pushes farther into the inner filling. ![]() When pulled out it clicks to one position good for an average person. ![]() The fabric and the stitching also match. Plus visibility is great. ![]() While the fit isn't perfect I'm satisfied. |

Interesting. I may have to look into that.
The current headrests are just terrible. Sure they can be adjusted but putting the seat down flat just doesn't work with them on. I wish they thought that through. |

Does anyone know if the C-Max uses the same size/ width posts for the rear head restraints? those are more like the US Focus model in design, but have a button on the side that allows them to flip down so the seat could still fold flat. They also have one in medium light stone, but idk if it would match the SEL cloth in my Focus. Idk, I usually just leave them in place, but it does block a lot of the rear view window.

Blocking the window thing seems like a hatch issue

Not really, with the shape of the window afaik even the sedan suffered from this, albeit perhaps to a slightly lesser extent. I recall seeing the head rests in the rear window of the ISM SE rental sedan I had back in November of 2011.

These are larger than the ones I had in my 2009 sedan but they don't seem to block my view out the rear window. I'm more annoyed that I see the top of the rear spoiler more than the headrests.
The other car I had a problem with headrests is my aunt's 2010 Escape and it basically is the same issue with the focus hatch and these silly huge headrests

How long did it take for them to arrive after purchase?
I've been considering these for a while.

It wasn't cheap because of the conversion rate and shipping. The headrests were 30GBP a piece and shipping 50GBP. About 176USD after conversion. I was hoping more along the lines of 30USD for items, 50ishUSD for shipping. But I felt if I didn't pounce, it would have been a long while before I'd get another chance.
I've been burned in the past by choosing cheap international shipping, so I ponied up more for something quick with tracking. It came in like 3 or 4 days. The empty spots in the seats were bugging me and I had refused to put the original potato heads back on; especially knowing how it should be. |
