Why would you weld an oil pan.....

Never really understood this logic. There's many reasons the clutch could need replacing other than hard driving.

Also that seems extremely cheap for the minimal issues he has listed. Wonder if the pan cracked/broke and dumped all the oil causing engine failure. I'd replace the pan in his driveway and request it to be fired up before striking a deal. Or haggle a bit and get it for less so you can make your $ back incase the engine isn't any good.
