I did notice that the belt is severely "cracked" and then there was the issue of my wife briefly smelling something burning (might have forgotten to mention that).
1. Would that explain the cracking on the belt? 2. Would that make the engine harder to turn? Just thinking about it makes me what to answer "yes" to both but wondering what the experts think. BB |

if you think or know the belt is broken, I'd bet you had a pulley seize up on you... make sure you get a timing component kit for that. its worth it even if they're not bad.
