When we talked to them that day, we stressed offering tuning, and I asked them to look at the power cars were making untuned with mods. I proposed they do an intake and exhaust and tune as stage 1, and a header and retune as stage 2. Then offer suspension setups and the body parts they had made.

Any of you guys know if cobb is doing anything for the new focus or what's up with their project? I saw their post here so it might be a lot of potential for us.

Isn't FSwerks working on a turbo?
I would love to have a roots blower if anything, but more than likely the only thing we would get is a centrifugal and not a roots. Anybody email Powerworks? They still in business? |

I know SCT is working on tuning for the regular Focus, once they offer that, then FSWerks and others will be able to offer custom tunes.

Why they cannot make a S/C ? some S/C and turbos were available for regular 00-04 focis and the SVT was available...

Its all gay and probably political. I've been emailing companies off and on for months, and nobody wants to touch it. They all need tuning, understandable, but SCT doesn't really seem to care about the non-ST. They stalled for over a year, but within 30 days of the ST release there is a tune available for that.
There is no legitimate comparison between the non-ST and the ST. All I want is enough boost to be at or near the 180 ft lb area (DCT) and not have the insurance cost of a ST. If I wanted 300+ ft lb then I would have waited for the ST.

I'll take a 200HP N/A engine over a 250HP turbo engine...especially in FWD

SCT is working on N/A tuning, someone posted a while back about them having a regular MK3 focus on a dyno.
I am not surprised Roush isn't making an S/C. Will someone else? Maybe. But Roush works very closely with Ford. They help put together engines for certain Ford models even. They can't build cars that are even or better than something Ford makes in house. Notice their RS3 Mustang isn't quite as quick as a GT500? (Until you bring it back and get the stage 2 kit for it.) They flat out told us that 1.) The S/C car would cost more to buy than an ST, buy a considerable margin. 2.) They didn't think they'd sell as many, given that the ST is now out, and the fact that companies like FSWerks will be making turbo kits.

Fair enough on the supercharger deal. I understand it being to costly/conflict off interest with Ford. However, while aren't they going to offer ANY parts at all??! (So far anyway) I know that I personally would be one of the first to purchase the body kit they designed. I would also be interested in the an intake/exhaust from them. They make quality parts and I think they are missing the boat here. There are plenty of us dying for parts and nobdoy seems to be bringing them to the table.

^ That's what we tried to stress to them at the meeting, but they haven't moved forward from the sounds of it. They have proprietary access to Ford's tuning, they can do more than SCT can. (Their tunes can change something like 10 times more data points.)
I stressed to them if they could be first to market with a tune for 91/93, and offer an intake and exhaust too, they'd be doing well. I just am not sure they are going to do it. I pitched them this: Stage 1 Performance: Intake/Tune Stage 1+: Adds exhaust Stage 2: Adds header, and re tune. (If people are seing 175whp without a tune, if they could get 180-185whp with stage 2, I think it would sell.) Stage 1 Suspension: Lower springs and better shocks. Stage 2: Bigger sways Then offer the body kit, both as a full kit, and as individual pieces. I told them I think these parts would sell, especially since ppl could get the stuff installed at Roush Certified Ford dealers.
