snorkel delete

hello, i am in the process of doing the snorkel delete on my focus, how do i get the hood release out of the way to pull out the shroud?

Just pulling the cable out of the fitting at the point where it makes a 90 degree turn should give you enough space (barely). If you want a little additional space, pull the gold bead at the end of the cable out of the black housing. Just to be clear, you shouldn't have to completely pull off the shroud. You should just be pulling it back in order to get under it.
