Why you should retrofit your lights

i used 4 screws to mount as well for mine. just a little extra strength i figured since i'm on stiff coils. where did you mount your grounds?

Passenger is on a purple wire ground to the left of the engine. Right out in the open.

Driver side is where the fender connects to the frame I think, there's a body bolt with a speed nut. The bolt comes up from the bottom into the speed nut, very visibile when headlight is out.

I am thinking about getting my kit soon but need to locate 1 more headlight before I can get started. Once the retro is done, I am going to plop another set of Lamin-X 12% tint on the lenses.

Glad to see someone else doing a retro with Morimoto Mini's. Mine are too low as well, my driver side light is as high as it will go before the screw pops out of the reflector bucket. I'm still trying to devise a plan using a nut-bolt-washer combination instead of the factory vertical adjustment.

With it properly aimed you should be able to see 1/8 mile down the road on a pitch dark night.

OP, may I download that picture of the bowl mount and include in my how to retrofit guide?

I left the bars in mine also but I painted my shrouds black and left the reflector chrome, I also did a Blazer retro for my fog lights I still need to get them aimed but I think they look good. Here are some pics.

Could you imagine 2 55watt sets of HID's on your car? But I would be too afraid those exposed lenses would get shattered to bits

Absolutely! You have helped me out a few times via PM.

I finally have mine aimed a little better. I will go take new pics.

Ok here we go, by the way in my earlier pictures it was a combination of my headlights not aiming correctly and pointing downhill slightly.
So I backed up a little.





The edge of the woods is about 100 feet away


Trust me, this puts out a ton more light than what the camera picks up.

Next step will be figuring out how to run fogs all the time, if it's built into the computer to not run while foglights are activated I will just run a HID wiring harness and switch inside the car.

i wanna do projectors in my fogs so bad... was it an easy install?

Those blazers look great. I still need to do my fogs. Think im going to run Morimoto matchboxes with 3000k. Going to be sweet having 2 sets of Bi-xenon projectors. The high beams are going to be awesome!
