Don't worry, there are just two schools of thought and neither is wrong. 1) Just follow the owner's manual recomended change interval, even going up to 10k miles for the first one. 2) Change out the initial oil early, anywhere from 100 to 1000+ miles. I am an early changer as are many here, this point has been argued to ad nauseum on this forum. Just search early oil change and see.

I did my first change at 2700 miles and my second change at 10,000 miles but plan to change at 5000 mile intervals...
