If API SM is no longer on the shelf, why have they not updated the website? Is it an oversight, neglect, no care, or misleading? No third party has yet to confirm Pennzoil's 5% NOACK claims from API SN Ultra. You'd think that someone would have done that by now.

They have updated the website so, I don't think it's oversight, neglect, lack of care, or misleading. I linked you directly to the SN TDS.

Please allow me to clarify. I know that the API SN sheet exists on their webpage, but that's not the product information sheet you are linked to from the Ultra product page on their website. That link still takes you to the API SM spec sheet.

Do you think for a moment I would want an inferior product specification sheet attached to my product if it was "inaccurate" due to a product reformulation? Heck no.....I'd want the data presented to be accurate and posted in the proper location for John Q. Public average user to read.

Obviously I don't know the answer to that question. I couldn't care less as to why the consumer site only shows the SM TDS, and I'm not going to make any assumptions regarding that. However, if I were Shell and had the intent of misleading the consumer, I sure as hell wouldn't be showing you an older TDS with lesser spec.

The SN TDS is available. My concern is whether the TDS is accurate. Simply stating that no third party has yet confirmed the Noack spec would have satisfied my original question.

Has anyone sent out their oil to get analyzed at the 10,000 mile mark yet? I couldn't find it in this thread (I'm on my phone so its a little more challenging.)

Yes, I did. Nothing unexpected. Rolling up on my second oil change, short of 20K this week. I'll also get that sent out.

When I get home (and if I remember), I can post more info.

I am just rolled over 18k. This is my third oil change. I will probably get an oil analysis done and post the results when I get them. See if I can get any more mileage out of my Amsoil.

Just be patient, I am currently at 5,000 miles on this oil change interval with Amsoil Signature Series 5W-20. Soon there will be a UOA thread to compare all results.
